Setting startup pages in Opera
Platform: All platforms
In Opera, you can set the browser to open with a global home page, or to open multiple windows when it starts (recommended).
1. Setting a global home page
Under Navigation > Set home page..., you can define a global home page. You can set Opera to open this global homepage when you start it in the 'Start and exit' section of Opera's Preferences (accessed through the Tools menu (Windows, Linux) or Edit menu (MacOS 9) or Opera menu (MacOS X)). The global home page can also be added here.
In Opera 6.x for Mac, the homepage used is the one defined in the Mac OS X's Internet System Preferences, or the equivalent in OS 9.
2. Starting with saved sessions
If you want to set Opera open certain pages on startup, open these pages and select File > Sessions and select Save sessions....
If you set Opera to "Show start-up dialog", you can choose between sessions every time you start Opera, as well as choosing to continue where you left off.
